Forever After Begins Here
The love, celebration and support surrounds you like a warm blanket in front of a cozy fire.
The stories that the over-a-century old Barn already embraces are enlarged by the love of you, your beloved and those gathered with you.
The original farm was known as the “Baker Farm”. The current owners, Steve and Gena Nye, purchased it in 2007. Emma Baker Connolly, who’s grandfather built the home and barn in the late 1800’s, is a precious part of the Nye Family still today. In her 90’s, she still comes out to see this beautiful, historic farmhouse and barn that she still calls her “home place”. She also, loves spending time with the Nye Family who have lovingly adopted her as “grandma”. The Nye Family have painstakingly preserved the property and continue to care for it and it’s prominent history. There is an original beveled glass picture of the farmhouse and barn, with hitching posts in front of the house, that Steve and Gena proudly display in their home.
A Working Farm
Steve and Gena lived previously in a farming community in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania and were actively involved in Christian ministry, leading + loving their congregation, nurturing folks and helping plan events, large and small.
A few years after purchasing Nye Manor Farm (as it is now known), Steve, Gena and their children, Steve Junior, Destiny and Zoe, started “Aunt Gena’s Gourmet Sweet Corn” raising over 25 acres of sweet corn and selling it roadside in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
Dance, feast and celebrate the night away
